Cooperation programme – Sri Lanka
For several decades, Switzerland has supported Sri Lanka through development cooperation, humanitarian assistance and economic cooperation, working with national and local partners to strengthen communities, livelihoods and resilience.
In recent years, key areas of focus have included safer labour migration, vocational skills and employment, disaster risk reduction and emergency preparedness, as well as sustainable economic development. Switzerland has also provided humanitarian assistance and supported recovery following disasters, building on its longer-term engagement in reconstruction and recovery.
